I hope you all had some time to enjoy the beautiful summer and family fun. I am excited to be starting another school year at McGuffey. My staff and I will be working very hard to ensure your child gets the best education in a safe environment. I encourage you to be a part of their education as much as possible. As a team we can accomplish so much more for the success of your child! Here is some information to get us started toward a great year:
- EARLY BIRD OPEN HOUSE – on August 19th from 10-3. Please visit the school, check out your child’s room, and take a tour. Bus numbers for bus riders will also be available at the school. (Teachers may be in their rooms planning). If you cannot attend please know that room numbers and bus numbers will be posted on the doors of the school.
- Welcome to our new teachers: Mr. Mowery(3rd), Ms.Thompson,(4th) Ms. Cool(k-2), Ms. Shattick(k),Ms. Seelye (4th)
- ALL VISITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICE TO SIGN-IN AND RECEIVE A VISITOR PASS. THIS IS A SAFETY PROCEDURE THAT WILL BE FOLLOWED!
- FIRST BELL RINGS AT 8:45 A.M.
- TARDY BELL RINGS AT 9:00 A.M.
- BREAKFAST IS SERVED FROM 8:15-8:50 A.M. Please do not arrive to school before 8:15!-
- SCHOOL ENDS AT 3:30- If you are planning to pick your child up please wait in the parking lot and your child will be escorted out. Kindergarten car riders will be picked up in hallway by office.(use the parking lot door)

· There will be many new papers/forms to complete the first week of school. Please make sure for your child’s safety you complete these forms and we always have current phone numbers at all times.
My staff and I will work very hard to make McGuffey the best school in the district! We are focused and ready to start another great year. Please consider joining our parent group and attending focus meetings . Your input is vital this year among all the possible changes that face us.
